“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world. Indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.”-Margaret Meade
The North Stonington Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, charitable organization founded in 2004 to support and enhance our town’s public education. Through the commitment and hard work of the volunteer directors, the NSEF is on its way to enhancing and enriching the education of the North Stonington community.
Fundraising is important to our organization. The NSEF depends primarily on tax-deductible contributions and our fundraising events so that we can provide opportunities for students and community members that are not covered by tax dollars. Our annual fundraising events include: Trivia Competition, Spring Event; Runners in Support of Education Road Race; and NSEF Dinner & Dance Gala. The NSEF also sponsors a Community Education Series offering presentations on a variety of topics.
Thanks to generous donations and fundraising events the NSEF has funded several grants and programs.
The North Stonington Education Foundation is governed by an all-volunteer board of directors comprised of community members. The NSEF is independent of the North Stonington Public Schools, the Board of Education and is nonpolitical.
